I take a holistic approach when assessing my patients, enabling me to tailor my treatment to best fit each patient’s wants, needs and lifestyles. I have a special interest in chronic stress research. I can provide stress management education, plans and tools that my patients can use to help reduce their feelings of stress. I can apply specific techniques aimed to reduce tension in strained areas and encourage a more restorative state. This is an example of how I treat more globally, getting the all-round picture, rather than treating locally.
I work confidently in the assessment and management of many complaints associated with pregnancy including pubic symphysis pain, pelvic girdle pain, lower back pain, nausea, constipation and pregnancy fatigue. I am passionate about educating pregnant women on their changing bodies and helping them navigate through their pregnancy. I help alleviate pain through treatment, exercise and advice. I can educate you on activities to avoid that may aggravate musculoskeletal strains. As well as which exercises to do to keep you mobile and comfortable throughout your pregnancy. Your journey with me doesn’t have to stop after post-partum either! I am also passionate about caring for women after birth and supporting them through the next phase of their lives.
In my downtime, I have a love for the great outdoors and in my spare time I enjoy being out on the trails and adventuring with my dog, Bodhi.
I’m available for appointments at Halswell Osteopathy from Monday to Friday.
